Butterfly Labs is a nonprofit dedicated to helping society navigate the age of artificial intelligence. Our mission is to raise awareness through digital storytelling, build inclusive communities prepared for an AI-driven future, and advance AI research that benefits everyone.

Artificial intelligence is transforming how we learn, work, and live, yet many feel left out of the conversation. We believe everyone, from kids and students to workers and seniors, deserves to understand AI’s impact and have a voice in shaping its direction.

Butterfly Labs was founded to bridge this gap: to make AI understandable, connect people through shared learning, and drive AI innovation that is ethical, responsible, and human-centered.

Our Approach

We focus on three interconnected pillars:

• Community – Building Communities
  We create spaces where kids, students, workers, and seniors can learn, connect, and support one another through workshops, events, and partnerships.

• Research – Advancing the State of the Art
  We conduct independent research, develop new frameworks for safe AI, and share open reports to ensure technological advances serve society.
